Project: Modular Pharmaceutical Hydrogenation Suite
Client: Multinational Pharmaceutical Company
Project Summary
This is an annex extension to an existing bulk-pharmaceutical plant (API), consisting of a Hydrogenation system plus associated prep and charge vessels, filters, etc. Design, specify and procure all equipment:
- 2x8000L glass-lined carbon-steel (GLCS) vessels
- Vessel hydrogenation system (sparge system for GLCS vessel) including emergency extract/hydrogen detection system
- 1x500L GLCS charge tank
- Reactor heating/cooling systems
- Condensers
- Pressure filters
- Transfer and vacuum pumps
- Manifold systems
- Exhaust scrubber
- Emergency relief receiver vessel
- Bulk Hydrogen supply modules (remote from building)
Reactor relief system designed using DIERS method. Scope also to include provision of IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) heating system for product filling/transfer.
The building extension was constructed using modular construction methods off site. Building walls and floors constructed in workshop, with process equipment piped-up prior to shipment to site and all interconnecting piping preassembled in racks, for on-site assembly. Vessels fitted in situ.
