Project: Bioprocess Extraction Plant
Client: Multinational Pharmaceutical Company

Project Summary

A vegetable matter Extraction Plant consisting of two batch extraction units with a combined capability of processing 4,000Kg of material per 12 hour day. This was delivered as a fully automated 'superskid' module format.

This was a retrofit project, where the existing systems had to be decommissioned and removed before the new system could be installed. Due to production requirements this decommissioning was only done when the new system had successfully completed OQ in the workshop. The client was back in full production in 6 weeks.

Our scope here included the conceptual study and evaluation of technology. The key objectives for our client was to 1) De-bottleneck process and 2) Regulatory compliance. Both of these were achieved with the de-bottlenecking requirement actually being exceeded and throughput exceeding expectation.
