Project: Biopharma Production Automation
Client: Multinational Pharmaceutical Company

Project Summary

This project entailed the process automation of a drug production area which included purification and formulation areas. Design, configuration, build and validation (to GAMP4) of a 1300 I/O integrated DeltaV Batch Control System utilising Allen Bradley Flex I/O. The project is focused on a highly modular approach to design, delivery and commissioning.

Software Design and Configuration

• Design and Documentation — Multiple Functional Design Specification (FDS).
• Configuration of Graphics, Interlocks, Software Control Modules, Equipment Modules, Phases and recipes.

Validation Documentation and Protocol Execution

• Preparation of Project Quality Plan.
• Preparation and Execution of Software Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Protocols.
• Preparation and Execution of Software Site Acceptance Test (SAT) Protocols.
